Our Alliance Team told us that light-weight and efficiency were primary considerations in choosing a bicycle designed to help aspiring riders cover longer distances on-road. The Sapphire's lighter, non-suspension seat post and fork, along with a slightly more forward riding position, improved on the existing Echo Road's performance in these regards.
